NBA 2K27 — Cover Design Concept A conceptual cover design project exploring what NBA 2K27 could look like through two distinct visual directions. The Standard Edition centers around Victor Wembanyama, using scale, space, and perspective to emphasize the larger-than-life presence he brings to the game. The composition places him above the world, creating a surreal visual that plays into both his physical stature and the expectations surrounding the next generation of basketball. The Ultra Edition features Derrick Rose, taking a more aggressive and cinematic approach. Built around a bull-riding concept, the cover draws from Chicago-inspired energy to reflect Rose’s explosiveness, toughness, and legacy. The goal was to create a visual that felt intense and powerful, using a darker red color palette, motion, and atmosphere to give the alternate cover its own identity. Both covers were designed as part of the same system, with consistent NBA 2K27 typography and branding while allowing each edition to feel completely different in tone.
